Overall assembly was self-explanatory, took roughly an hour per bed that we bought. Perfect for toddler/kid's age. Low enough to the ground to prevent injury but high enough to utilize storage space underneath. The gray color in particular (we ordered espresso and gray) came with quite a few scuffs, scratches, and overall quality control issues. After assembly, the paint/boards split (not dangerously, just at the site of the hardware). Overall, a good buy however avoid the gray color!
