Toasted up like they should

Grabbed a pack for the kids' breakfasts and they toasted up right - crisp edges, proper nooks, none of the stale softness you get when a pack sits too long. The date on the bag was well in range and there was no mold on the split halves, which is the gamble with delivery bread. We did the classic English muffin pizzas one night and the kids ate them faster then I could make them. If your store delivers these fresh, they are what they have always been - just check the date the minute they show up.

This English muffins have always been a family favorite for years. It's nice to be able to make a sausage, egg cheese or sausage, bacon cheese sandwich in the morning. Or it can be toasted with peanut butter %26 jelly, etc.

The History of Thomas English Muffins!

Thomas English Muffins are a old New English tradition. I remember having them as a kid, 50 years ago. Mom would never purchase any other brand. Established 1880 in Englnd, Samuel Thomas relocated from England to NYC and opened his 1st bakery. He used a top secret process that included griddle baking to create a muffin that was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. In the 1940 he opened bakries in Philadelphia and New England. This is when I was introduced to them and have been enjoying them ever since!
