Fine textured, flavorful

I'm used to grits being very coarse and slower cooking, these are like fine polenta and are done in ten minutes. Fine textured and mild flavor, I've made them plain, with butter and honey, and I've made them savory, with dried vegetables added to the water before boiling. Adding fruit to the sweet, or lentils and vegetables to the savory forms a filling meal to get through the day. If poured into a pan before cooling, it sets well and can be cut into squares for portions or frying in a skillet.

I was so disappointed about receiving a box with grits spilled all over the bottom of the box. Almost of the individual packages were ruined. When I contacted Walmart about this, the customer service rep quickly acted on this matter. I was very impressed again by how professionally the situation was resolved, much to my great satisfaction. I dig grits at breakfast with or without an Egg. Butter, salt %26 pepper usually. Gravy is excellent over the top. So is cheese cooked into the grits when you are almost done boiling them, makes them really thick %26 creamy
