For camping: Definitely lasts multiple days for 2-3 persons if you follow a few simple tips: Freeze gel packs (not ice) at your freezer's lowest setting, Freeze or refrigerate all food and drinks, Pre-cool the cooler for hours before loading, Load just before you leave, Keep the cooler covered or out of the sun. That's it -- lasted 5 days for us and everything was cold. Excellent quality cooler.
