Great Value Dried Pinto Beans, 8 lb Bag

Great value is right! These are so versatile and also great for cooking if you're on a tight budget, which these days with the price of things, I'm sure a lot of people are! These make great bean soup, just add a pound of cleaned rinsed beans, chop up an onion into quarters or smaller if you like that, add some fresh garlic (to taste) and cook to package directions or until beans are soft, I salt at the end of cooking to taste. You can also add a ham bone while cooking for flavor, bacon etc. I like to top mine with some fresh chopped cilantro. You can also refry these, just take your beans from your bean soup, ladle them into a skillet with some of juice and find your potato masher! Cook down to the consistency you like for refried beans, adding more liquid if needed. Now you can grab your tortillas and cheese and make yourself a burrito! Or just have them as a side dish, top with shredded cheese, green onion or cilantro. Long winded review, but highly recommend these, one bag will give you 8 pots of bean soup that you can do different things with. Hope this helped someone on a budget like us.
