Near East Rice Pilaf Mix is Kosher Certified. Near East Rice Pilaf, Original, is a delicious rice from a company that's been around many years. This formula is quick and easy to cook. Simply add the ingredients to a saucepan, bring to a boil, and allow to simmer, covered. It can be eaten alone as a side dish or mixed into many different recipes such as casseroles, for additional flavor, fiver, protein, and health benefits. Each box contains 6.5 oz of kosher rice. Cover microwave at high 18 To 21minutes or until most Of water is absorbed. Let stand about 5 minutes oruntil all water is absorbed. Fluff pilaf lightly with fork beforeserving low fat directions: follow package directions, except omitbutter or olive oil And add additional 3 tablespoons water. Highaltitude preparation: at high altitudes, increase water 2-3/4 cups andcook time To 33 To 38 minutes

The texture was a little mixed but that may have been cooking related. Some forkfuls were easy to chew while the next were a little more exhausting. Everything else about was good. I don't do pilaf often, but I may after getting this. We'll see . . .
