You tell me

I have a named brand bacon in the photo and Great Value, you can decide for yourself which looks better. The taste is literally the same and we did not prefer one brand over the other as far as taste. As far as looks it is a no brainer to me that the GV looks better. Both fry up well and make bacon grease (A southern staple for seasoning). The bacon is delicious and salty. In fact, sometimes I buy the lower sodium and honestly cannot tell it is lower sodium as it is just as salty. LOVE this bacon.

A real taste surprise!

I was nicely surprised at the wonderful bacon taste of this Great Value bacon. I always cook 3 slices at a time in the microwave on a plate covered with paper towels to absorb the fat. And I cook 3 strips at a time until the entire package is cooked. I put all the strips into a sealable plastic bag with one paper towel inside to absorb any moisture and put the pkg in the freezer. When I want a strip of bacon, I just take one out of the bag, let it thaw a few minutes and voila! :breakfast! The only downside of this bacon is that it usually is not a "smooth" cut and more difficult to cook in a nice, neat strip. The taste more than makes up for it, however.
