HORMEL BLACK LABEL Original Bacon, Gluten Free, Refrigerated, 16 oz Plastic Package

I'm particular about my bacon. Hormel tastes as good as the more expensive bacon. I bake my bacon. If you haven't tried baking your bacon, try it. You can get really crispy bacon or you can make it limp if you prefer. Makes great BLT's too.

Lined a couple of jelly roll sheets with some slightly crumpled aluminum foil. The slightly wrinkly aluminum helps to keep bacon from swimming directly in the grease as it cooks. Plus it's so easy to let the bacon grease cool and solidify on the aluminum then throwing it all away (easy clean up!). I spread the bacon slices out so they're separated and not overlapping or even touching in most cases. Put them in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes and they came out super crisp - exactly how my mom likes it. Since she's over 80, I try to make a package every few weeks and store it in a ziploc bag in the fridge - she can make a BLT sandwich or crumble onto salads on her own. And it only takes about 15 seconds in the microwave to re-crisp the bacon after its been in the fridge.
