I've tried both the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush and the Clorox ToiletWand. My experience with these two systems couldn't be more different. The Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Starter Kit earns a full five stars, and the Clorox ToiletWand gets just one. The Fresh Brush's 19-inch handle moves the release button well away from where you grip to scrub. That means you never lose the pad mid-clean. By contrast the ToiletWand's release button sits right where you hold it so press too hard and the pad pops off (usually before you've even finished half the bowl). The cleaning pads themselves tell the real story. Scrubbing Bubbles pads feel substantial and hold together under a vigorous scrub. When you're done you simply flush them away with no mess. ToiletWand pads are built from four separate layers that start to peel apart once wet and include bits of hard plastic you have to fish out of the bowl. It's gross, frustrating, and wasteful. Cleaning under the rim is another clear win for Scrubbing Bubbles. Its pad stays flat against the curve and scrubs away stains where ToiletWand's pad just spins like a wheel and leaves grime behind. After a thorough session with the Fresh Brush my bowl looks closer to brand new than I ever managed before. Finally, when you're all done there's no dripping dirty water across your floor on the way to the trash can. With Scrubbing Bubbles you finish, flush the pad, and move on. For real cleaning power combined with smart design it really is night and day.
