Great for cost. The door gaps can be adjusted!

Let's be real about what we're spending and what we should expect to receive. It costs near as much to take a family of four to Chili's. It's manufactured particle board, but it looks nice and adds storage space. The box was banged to heck but there was lots of styrofoam and no damage to product. It comes with extra nuts and screws - nice. READ and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, and look for the little written tips. It took me and my husband about 2 hours to put together. The hinges have two screws on each that help adjust the gaps of the doors - see pic. If you read directions thoroughly, you will find this info. Is it perfect? No. Did I spend $1000 on a hutch? No. It's great for what it costs.

A Very Reasonable Price for An Attractive Hutch

This is a nice hutch with a very reasonable price. Assembly is not all that easy but can be accomplished if you take your time and follow the instructions. Manipulating the various parts may require an extra set of hands. The instructions consist of numbered pictures which are mostly clear but some pictures are a bit confusing. In particular, the hinge installation must be studied a bit before you proceed. At first glance all the hinges look identical but there are two different hinges. There are two packages and you should not open them both at the same time. If you mix them up, you will have a problem. The package is quite heavy. I was unable to lift it so I needed to open it up where the driver left it and bring the parts inside a few at a time. I recommend this product and would buy it again. If you are not handy with a screw driver you might consider paying for a pro to assemble it for you.

Heavy box. I live on the top floor of an apartment. Fed ex left it at the bottom. So make sure you have muscle to lift it into your place. The cabinet was easy to put together. You will need a Phillips screw driver and a flat or a drill on low impact. I am a 39 year old female and I put this together myself. It took me from 8pm till midnight in between cooking dinner and caring for my kids to put the bottom half together. The top half took an hour the next morning. It is definitely worth the effort.
