Very comfortable from the beginning, they wash really well and keep their shape, there is no cutting in the ankles. I used them for my mother of 90 as well, and here ankles are really thick, and the toe area must be loose, great for wide feet, and these socks scored 100% across the board They are a little pricey, but you truly get your monies worth. And so you know, I tried several different pairs from different brands and these socks rated 100% satisfied. They come in two sizes, so make sure you select the best one for you, they also come in great colors.

Finally!! A comfortable pair of socks!! If you have trouble with your feet swelling and are having an extremely difficult time finding socks that don't squeeze your feet, look no further!! Hugh Ugoli Women's Cotton Ankle Socks are definitely loose and stretchy as their description says!! Before finding these socks I had been resorting to stretching my previous pairs of socks over upside down empty large containers from yogurt trying to make them looser!! It helps, but not enough. =( Hugh Ugoli Cotton Diabetic Ankle Socks are rather expensive, but to me they're worth the higher price in order to finally have comfortable-fitting socks!!
