• Walmart EV chargers are generally accessible 24/7, regardless of store hours. To check live availability, open the Walmart app and type EV Charging in the search bar.
• You can also use tools like Google Maps or PlugShare to see nearby stores with chargers, real-time availability, local amenities, maximum power (kW), and current pricing.

Before you arrive, make sure you have the Walmart app
• Download the Walmart app from your phone’s native app store.
• Create a Walmart account (if you don’t already have one).
• Navigate to Account settings.
• Tap Wallet and add a payment method.
• When you arrive to the charging site, choose an available charger, plug in the connector, scan the QR code on the charger and tap Start charging in the app. 

• All payments are made in the Walmart app using the payment method saved to your account.
• Pricing is shown in the Walmart app before you start. Rates may vary by location or time of day. Your price per kWh is locked in when your session begins.
• Currently, credit card terminals are not available.

• Our sites include NACS and CCS fast-charging connectors. Choose the plug that matches your vehicle’s charging port.
• Some vehicles may require an adapter (check your owner’s manual).
• We don’t support adapters for the CHAdeMO standard.
• Some Teslas built before 2021 may need an upgrade at a Tesla service center to use non-Supercharger networks. 

Walmart+ members may get exclusive savings at participating charging locations.

Before you arrive, make sure you have the Walmart app:

• If it still doesn’t work, contact Support at (833) 866-9393. 

If you see a charging error you can:

• Scan the QR code on the charger and tap Start charging in the app.
• If the error repeats, try a different charger or call Support at (833) 866-9393 with the charger ID. 

There are a several ways to stop charging:
• In the Walmart app, tap Stop charging.
• Press the Stop button on the charger.
• From your vehicle’s app or in-car screen (if supported). 
• Push and hold the button on the connector for several seconds, then pull the connector out.

There are a few things you can try if the connector won’t release:
• Release the charger from your vehicle app or in-car screen (if supported).
• Use your vehicle’s key fob or app to lock and unlock the vehicle.
• Look for a manual release button near your EV’s charging port.
• If it’s still stuck, contact Walmart Support at (833) 866-9393.

Open your session in the Walmart app and tap Support for 24/7 help. You can also call our EV Customer Care team at (833) 866-9393. Before reaching out, locate the charger ID shown on the screen for faster support.

• This can happen for a few common reasons:
Your vehicle reached its charging limit. Many EVs are set to stop at a target like 80% or 90%.
• Your battery got too hot. Some vehicles will reduce or end charging to protect the battery if it gets too hot.
• There was an error. A charger or vehicle error can automatically stop the session.

What to try next:
 Check and adjust your charging limit in your vehicle’s display (HMI) or app.

Walmart EV chargers provide variable charging power, which means the rate of power transfer may adjust based on:
• Your vehicle's charging capability
• Your battery's current state of charge
• Charger power management controls

Charging power ranges from 0–400 kW and may slow down or briefly pause during your session.

Charge time depends on your EV, battery size, current charge, and temperature. Many drivers get a useful charge in 15–30min.

Charging speed depends on factors like your vehicle’s limits, the battery condition, the ambient air temperature or site power availability.  

For a quicker charge:
• Precondition your battery if your EV supports it.
• If possible, pick a charger not already occupied.
• Stop charging around 80% — most EVs charge slower after that point. 

Things to keep in mind:
• If there are other drivers waiting to charge, consider charging your vehicle to 80%.
• Move your EV once your charging session ends.
• Return the connector to its holster.
