To get started, take your debit or prepaid card to a staffed register along with the cash you want to load onto it. The amount you load can be from $20 up to $1,000, depending on how much your card issuer will allow. Fees vary from $0 to $3.74 per transaction based on the type of debit card.

Thousands of debit and prepaid cards issued by US banks and financial institutions can be loaded. Just present your card to the associate to find out if yours is one of them.

How do I load my debit or prepaid card with a check?

Accepted Answer

Load your check onto your debit card at the Money Center or Customer Service desk & save time by skipping a trip to the bank. Simply ask an Associate at a register to deposit your partial or entire check to your debit card. Be sure to endorse your check & present valid identification. Note: Check cashing fees may apply. Check cashing is not available in New York or New Jersey.

When will my money be available in my account?

Your funds will typically be loaded to your bank debit card in 15 minutes after the transaction is successfully completed in a Walmart store. Please keep the receipt that the Associate provides until you see the funds reflected in your account.

Accepted Answer

When you’re ready to unload funds from your debit cards, head to one of the staffed registers with your physical debit card. Let the Associate know that you want to withdraw cash from your card and they’ll guide you through the process. Most prepaid & bank issued debit cards are supported, subject to availability of funds in the account.

You can load or unload up to $1,000 per transactions & complete up to three transactions a day. Fees vary between $0–$3.74 per transaction. Please note, your card issuer might have additional limits.

Check your online, app or digital account to see if it offers use of barcodes to load or unload funds. Some financial institutions that offer the service include Walmart MoneyCard, Cash App, PayPal, ONE and Chime, as well as some banks, rental and utility accounts.

How do I load or unload funds from my digital accounts?

Generate the barcode from the app or digital account and present it at the Money Center or the Customer Service desk. The Associate will scan the barcode & process the transaction. Most barcodes expire after a short while. Check to be sure your barcode is still valid when you present it to the Associate. A government issued photo ID is required for some transactions.

Fees vary by digital account and in most cases will be indicated when you generate the barcode.
