Zenith was a well-known electronics brand, especially for TVs and radios. Over time, the company faced increased competition and changes in the electronics industry. In the late 1990s, Zenith was acquired by LG Electronics, a global electronics manufacturer. Today, Zenith-branded products are often produced by or associated with LG, and the original company no longer operates independently. While you may still find Zenith-branded remotes and accessories, the brand itself is now part of a larger electronics group.

The value of old Zenith TVs depends on several factors, including the model, condition, and whether it's considered collectible. Most standard models from recent decades have limited resale value due to advances in technology. However, vintage or rare Zenith sets, especially those in good working order, may attract interest from collectors. If you're considering selling or donating an old Zenith TV, you might want to check online marketplaces or collector forums to gauge current interest and demand.

Yes, many universal remotes are designed to work with Zenith TVs, including both older and newer models. When choosing a universal remote, check that it lists compatibility with Zenith or LG devices. To set it up, you'll typically need to enter a specific code for your TV model, which can be found in the remote's manual or on the manufacturer's website. If you run into issues, some remotes offer an auto-programming feature to help you find the right code.

If you've lost your Zenith remote, you have a few options:

• Look for replacement remotes specifically designed for Zenith TVs or devices. These are often available online or at electronics retailers.
• Consider a universal remote that supports Zenith codes, which can control multiple devices.
• Check if your TV or device has manual controls for basic functions until you get a new remote.

When shopping for a replacement, make sure it's compatible with your specific model for the best experience.
