Choosing the right wall key box depends on your needs and where you plan to use it. Consider these points:

• Capacity: Think about how many keys you need to store. Some boxes hold just a few, while others can organize up to 20 or more.
• Mounting Style: Decide if you want a permanent wall-mounted box or a portable option with a removable shackle or cable.
• Security Features: Look for boxes with resettable combination locks for added flexibility.
• Weather Resistance: If it’s for outdoor use, check for waterproof or weather-resistant designs.

Reviewing these factors can help you find a key box that fits your space and security needs.

Many key lock boxes are designed for outdoor use, but it’s important to check the product details. Look for features like:

• Weatherproof Construction: Boxes made with heavy-duty metal and protective covers help shield against rain and dust.
• Rust Resistance: Materials like aluminum alloy or coated steel can help prevent rust over time.
• Secure Mounting: Make sure the box can be firmly attached to a wall or another sturdy surface.

Always follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions for the best results outdoors.

Most wall key boxes with combination locks allow you to reset the code. Here’s a general guide:

1. Open the box using the current code.
2. Locate the reset lever or button inside the box.
3. Move or press the reset mechanism as directed in the instructions.
4. Set your new code, then return the lever or button to its original position.

Instructions can vary, so it’s best to check the manual that comes with your specific lock box for detailed steps.

Proper installation helps keep your key box secure. Here are some tips:

• Choose a Solid Surface: Mount the box on a sturdy wall, like brick, concrete, or wood.
• Use the Right Hardware: Most boxes include screws and anchors—use them as directed.
• Follow the Instructions: Each model may have unique steps, so refer to the included guide.
• Test the Box: After installation, check that the box is firmly attached and the lock works smoothly.

Taking these steps can help your key box stay secure and functional.

Keeping your key lock box clean helps it last longer and work smoothly. Here’s how:

• Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
• If it’s outdoors, check for debris around the lock and gently brush it away.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
• Periodically test the combination or key mechanism to make sure it’s working well.

Regular cleaning can help prevent buildup and keep your lock box in good shape.
