UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor, and a rating of 50+ means the fabric blocks at least 98% of the sun’s UV rays.

• This helps reduce your overall sun exposure when you’re outdoors.
• UPF 50+ is considered excellent protection, making these jackets a smart choice for hiking, fishing, or everyday wear in sunny conditions.
• Keep in mind that coverage is most effective when the jacket is worn as intended, with sleeves down and the hood up if available.

Pairing your jacket with other sun-safe habits can further support your sun protection routine.

• Check the care label for specific washing instructions, as some fabrics may have special requirements.
• Generally, machine wash in cold water with similar colors and use a gentle detergent.
