Start with where you’ll display them and how you plan to fill them.

• Mini (about 7–8 inches): Nice for trees, garlands, place settings, or a small treat or gift card.
• Mid (around 12–17 inches): Good for compact mantels or tighter spaces.
• Standard (about 18–20 inches): The classic mantel size that can offer more room for stocking stuffers.

On each product page, check the listed dimensions and photos for scale. Measure your mantel clearance and how many holders will fit. Materials like knit, velvet, burlap, or faux fur drape differently, so factor texture into the look you want. Results can vary by setup, so a quick measuring tape check helps.

You’ll typically see two options on this page.

• Initial-only designs: Stockings pre-embroidered with a single letter (A–Z). You pick the letter variant.
• Custom designs: Some listings let you add a name or monogram during checkout in addition to (or instead of) an initial.

Look for words like “initial,” “monogram,” or “personalized” in the title and description, and review photos to see the embroidery style. Product details usually explain how to submit text, character limits, and any processing time. If you want a coordinated family set, select the same style and choose a different letter for each person. Options vary by item, so confirm details before ordering.

Many styles offer the full A–Z range, but availability can vary by letter and season.

• Search the letter you need (for example, “initial stocking M”) to see matching options.
• Open the style you like and switch the letter variant to add each family member’s initial from the same listing when possible.
• If a letter is out of stock, consider a similar color or material in another style to keep a cohesive look.

You can choose the fulfillment option that fits your plans at checkout, like shipping, pickup, or delivery. Stock levels change, so checking early and adding items to your cart can help you build a complete set.

Secure hardware and heat awareness go a long way.

• Use mantel stocking holders or adhesive hooks rated for the intended load and attach them to clean, dry surfaces.
• Check the stocking’s hanging loop and seams before filling; heavier items may call for sturdier holders.
• Keep stockings clear of open flames and hot surfaces; many people relocate them while a fire is burning.
• For stairs or shelves, tie with ribbon or twine to avoid damage from nails or screws.

Product pages may include material and care notes; if heat or weight guidance is provided, follow it. Home setups vary, so adjust placement and load to what feels secure.

Care can differ by item, so check the product description first.

• Knit and velvet: These are often spot-clean only. Use a mild detergent and cool water, blot gently, then air-dry away from heat to help preserve texture.
• Faux fur/plush cuffs: After drying, a light brush can help restore fluff; avoid high heat.
• Burlap/jute: Light vacuuming and careful spot dabbing can help; soaking may distort the weave.

Embroidery and appliqués can be delicate, so handle decorated areas gently. These general tips can help, but materials and dyes vary by item, so testing a small hidden area before cleaning is a cautious approach.
