Reading a stick clock, especially those with DIY or frameless designs, is pretty straightforward. The stick-on pieces usually represent the hour markers, just like a traditional clock. To tell the time:

• Look for the longer hand (minute) and shorter hand (hour).
• The stick markers are placed where numbers would be—12 at the top, 6 at the bottom, 3 and 9 on the sides.
• Check the position of the hands relative to these markers to determine the time.

Some stick clocks may also include additional markers for minutes or decorative elements, so just focus on the main hour sticks for basic time reading.

The 'sticks' on a stick clock are usually referred to as hour markers or indices. In DIY wall clocks, these are often adhesive pieces or strips that you place around the clock mechanism to mark each hour. They help you visually divide the clock face and make it easier to read the time. Some designs use Roman numerals or simple lines, but they're all considered hour markers in clock terminology.

If you're looking to see the time on your phone or tablet home screen, you can add a digital clock widget. Here's how it usually works:

• On most devices, press and hold an empty spot on your home screen.
• Select 'Widgets' from the menu.
• Find the clock widget and drag it onto your home screen.

This lets you check the time at a glance. For physical stick clocks, place them somewhere visible in your home for easy timekeeping.

Clocks come in several styles, but four common types you might find at Walmart include:

1. Analog clocks – Traditional face with hands and hour markers.
2. Digital clocks – Display time with numbers, often with extra features like alarms.
3. Atomic clocks – Highly accurate, usually sync automatically with radio signals.
4. DIY stick clocks – Modern, customizable clocks with stick-on hour markers for unique wall decor.

Each type offers different benefits depending on your needs and style preferences.

Installing a stick-on wall clock is a fun DIY project. Here’s a quick guide:

• Choose a clean, flat wall surface.
• Use a template or ruler to evenly space the hour markers around the clock mechanism.
• Peel off the backing and stick each marker in place.
• Attach the clock hands and battery as instructed.

Take your time to align everything for a neat look. Stick-on clocks let you personalize your wall decor and make timekeeping stylish and easy.
