Spinal boards are commonly used to help immobilize and safely transport individuals who may have back or spinal injuries. They're designed to keep the spine stable during movement, especially in emergency situations like accidents or falls. In addition to medical use, some boards are also used for stretching, decompression, and posture improvement at home or in fitness routines. Always follow product instructions and consult a medical professional if you're unsure about proper usage or if the board is right for your needs.

• Most spinal boards are built to handle significant weight, often supporting up to 330 lbs or more, depending on the model.
• Some boards designed for emergency medical use may have even higher weight capacities.
• It's important to check the product details for specific weight limits before purchase and use.
• Using a board beyond its rated capacity can affect safety and performance, so always follow manufacturer guidelines.

While spinal boards are designed to help with immobilization and support, improper use can lead to discomfort or complications, such as pressure sores or muscle strain. It's important to use the board as directed and avoid prolonged use unless advised by a professional. For stretching or decompression boards, start with short sessions and adjust settings gradually. If you have concerns or pre-existing conditions, consulting a healthcare provider is recommended for guidance.

1. Wipe the board with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt and debris.
2. For boards used in medical or emergency settings, disinfect using a non-abrasive cleaner approved for plastics.
3. Allow the board to air dry completely before storing.
4. Avoid harsh chemicals or scrubbing pads, as these can damage the surface.

Regular cleaning helps maintain hygiene and prolongs the board's lifespan.

Many spinal boards available at Walmart are designed for home use, offering features like adjustable levels, massage points, and lumbar support. These boards can help with stretching, posture correction, and relaxation. Always read the instructions carefully and start with the lowest settings. If you're new to stretching devices or have health concerns, it's a good idea to ask a professional for advice before beginning a routine.
