Sim Tray(694)

A SIM tray is the small removable holder that lets your phone read a physical SIM card. It slides into the device’s side or top and aligns the SIM’s metal contacts with the internal reader.

• Holds a nano SIM securely in place.
• On some models, it’s a combo tray that also fits a microSD card.
• Trays are model-specific in shape, color, and whether they’re single or dual SIM.
• It’s released with an eject pin through the tiny hole beside the slot.
• Some replacements include a rubber gasket; overall water resistance depends on multiple seals and device condition.

Many newer phones rely on eSIM (an embedded, programmable SIM) instead of a physical tray. Manufacturers use eSIM for several practical reasons:

• Frees internal space for batteries or other components.
• Reduces moving parts that could bend or wear out.
• Enables digital setup and the option to store multiple plans.

If your device has no tray, activation typically happens through your carrier using a QR code or app. If you prefer a physical card, choose devices that still include a tray. This page focuses on replacement trays for models designed to use physical SIMs.

Swapping a tray can be straightforward with the right part and a gentle touch.

1. Confirm the exact device model and tray type (single or dual SIM, SIM-only or SIM+microSD, and color).
2. Back up your data and power the phone off.
3. Insert an eject pin into the slot hole; if the tray is missing, carefully align the new tray with the SIM’s notched corner matching the tray outline.
4. If the new tray includes a gasket, seat it evenly; don’t force it.
5. Power on and check for SIM detection and signal.

Results can vary by device condition. If water resistance is important or you’re unsure, consider professional service.

Match the tray to your phone’s exact variant to avoid fit issues.

• Find your device model number (in Settings > About or on the device) and match it to the listing.
• Check tray type: single SIM, dual SIM, or SIM+microSD combo.
• Verify color and finish so it blends with your device frame.
• Look for details like a pre-installed gasket or included eject pin if you need them.
• Review listing photos and dimensions; some regional variants use different trays.

Using site filters and reading the product description closely can help you pick the correct part the first time.

Your options depend on whether your device supports eSIM and how you plan to connect.

• If eSIM is supported, you can activate service digitally through your carrier using a QR code or app. Check your device settings for an eSIM menu.
• If there’s no eSIM, you can still use Wi‑Fi for apps, email, and messaging services that don’t require cellular.
• To use a physical SIM again, install a compatible replacement tray designed for your model.

Carrier features and device capabilities vary, so activation steps may differ. Checking your device manual and carrier guidance can help.
