Choosing the right size self-feeder depends on your pet's size and how much food or water they need each day.

• For larger pets or multiple animals, look for feeders with bigger capacities, like 10 lbs or more.
• Smaller pets or single cats and dogs may do well with feeders around 3-5 lbs.
• Consider how often you want to refill the feeder—larger models mean less frequent refills.

Always check the product details for capacity and recommended pet size to help you decide what fits your needs best.

Some self-feeders are designed specifically for food, while others are made for water, and a few come as sets for both.

• Food dispensers typically use gravity or timed release to keep dry food available.
• Water dispensers use gravity to keep the bowl filled with fresh water.
• Check the product description to see if it’s a combo set or if you’ll need to buy separate units for food and water.

Using the right type for each purpose helps keep your pet’s meals and hydration safe and convenient.

Keeping your automatic pet feeder clean is important for your pet’s health.

1. Unplug or remove batteries before cleaning any electronic parts.
2. Take apart the food container, bowl, and any removable pieces.
3. Wash non-electronic parts with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
4. Wipe down electronic components with a damp cloth—never submerge them.
5. Let all parts dry completely before reassembling.

Regular cleaning can help prevent buildup and keep your pet’s food fresh.

Most self-feeders are designed for dry kibble, as it flows easily through gravity or automatic mechanisms.

• Wet or semi-moist foods can clog the feeder or spoil quickly, so they’re usually not recommended.
• Always check the product details to see what types of food are compatible.
• If your pet has special dietary needs, consult your vet for advice on using a self-feeder.

Using the right food type helps the feeder work smoothly and keeps your pet’s meals safe.

Smart pet feeders offer extra convenience and control. Here are some features to consider:

• WiFi or app control for remote feeding and schedule adjustments.
• Built-in cameras for checking on your pet while you’re away.
• Two-way audio to talk to your pet.
• Portion control settings to help manage your pet’s diet.
• Backup power options in case of outages.

Think about which features fit your lifestyle and your pet’s needs to get the most out of your smart feeder.
