Both styles work well—it really comes down to your sport, venue, and setup needs.

• Flip scoreboards: No power needed, quick to use, and easy to read on both sides. Many show 2 or 4 digits (00–99) and are great for basketball, tennis, volleyball, cornhole, and more.
• Digital LED scoreboards: Add features like timers, clocks, and sometimes shot clocks. Many include remotes, multiple brightness settings, and can be used on a table, wall, or tripod.

If you play outdoors or move fields often, portability matters. For larger gyms or longer viewing distances, digital displays with bigger digits can improve visibility. Results vary by model, so check specs for size, features, and power options.

For outdoor play, visibility and durability are key considerations.

• Digital models: Look for adjustable brightness and large, high-contrast LEDs. Angling the display or placing it under light shade can help reduce glare. Keep electronics dry and avoid direct exposure to rain when possible.
• Flip models: Double-sided cards with bold, contrasting numbers read well in daylight. Cards with a matte finish can reduce reflections. Some use durable, water-resistant materials for light moisture, but it’s still a good idea to store them after use.

A stand or tripod can lift the display above players for better sightlines. Placement and angle can make a noticeable difference in bright conditions.

Think about how far spectators and players will be from the display and how much info you need to show.

• Digit size and visibility: Larger digits are generally easier to read from farther away. In smaller gyms or fields, compact tabletop models can be sufficient; larger spaces may benefit from bigger displays.
• Info needed: For simple games, a 2-digit flip is enough. For multi-set or higher scoring sports, 4-digit flip or digital models that show score plus a clock/timer can be helpful.
• Portability and mounting: Tabletop units pack away quickly for practice days. Wall-mount or tripod-capable units can offer a consistent viewing height for games.

Review each item’s measurements and photos to match your viewing distance and sport format.

Power options vary by model, so checking the product details is a good first step.

• Battery-powered: Some units run on replaceable or built-in rechargeable batteries. Battery life can vary by brightness and usage time.
• Rechargeable: Many include a charging cable (sometimes magnetic). It’s helpful to fully charge before events and bring a backup power bank if supported.
• Plug-in AC: Certain scoreboards plug into a standard outlet; using a surge-protected extension cord can add flexibility.
• Remotes: Handheld remotes typically require separate batteries—keep spares in your gear bag.

For safety, route cords away from play areas and keep chargers and ports dry. Usage conditions can impact run time and charging frequency.

Availability can differ by item, but there are a few ways to find compatible pieces.

• On the product page: Check the description and photos for compatible remotes, number cards, stands, or mounting hardware. Related items may be featured nearby.
• Seller contact: Use your Walmart account to message the seller for part compatibility, especially for remotes or power accessories.
• Universal options: Some flip number sets, magnetic score keepers, tripods, or chalk boards are designed to fit multiple models—verify dimensions and mounting style before buying.
• Support and returns: If a part arrives and doesn’t fit, review the item’s return policy and timeframe on Walmart.com.

Always confirm measurements, connection types, and mounting points to help ensure a good match.
