A sunshade attaches to the front of your scope and helps reduce glare from sunlight or harsh lighting. This can make your sight picture clearer and help you spot targets more easily, especially in bright conditions.

• It can also minimize lens flare, which sometimes obscures your view.
• Some sunshades even offer extra protection from rain or dust.

Adding a sunshade can be a simple way to improve your shooting experience, especially if you often shoot outdoors or in changing weather.

Choosing the right sunshade comes down to matching the diameter and threading of your scope's objective lens.

• Check your scope's manual or look for markings on the front of your scope to find the correct size (like 40mm, 50mm, or 56mm).
• Some sunshades are designed for specific models, so double-check compatibility before buying.

If you're unsure, bring your scope details when shopping or reach out to customer support for help.

A honeycomb filter, sometimes called an anti-reflection device, is a special type of sunshade with a grid-like pattern.

• It helps cut down on glare and reflections without blocking your field of view.
• This design can also help prevent light from giving away your position by reducing lens shine.

Honeycomb filters are popular with users who want extra glare protection and a lower profile than standard tube-style sunshades.

Yes, you can use a sunshade even when it’s cloudy.

• While sunshades are most helpful in bright sunlight, they can also reduce glare from overcast skies or reflective surfaces.
• Some users find that a sunshade helps keep rain or debris off the lens in different weather conditions.

Using a sunshade year-round can help protect your scope and keep your view clear, no matter the forecast.

To keep your sunshade in good shape, gently wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth.

• If it’s especially dirty, use a little water or a lens-safe cleaning solution.
• Avoid harsh chemicals or rough materials that could scratch the finish.
• Make sure the threads are clean before attaching or removing it to prevent cross-threading.

Regular cleaning can help your sunshade last longer and keep your scope’s view crystal clear.
