The term sack in sports gear usually refers to a bag designed for carrying equipment, clothing, or other items. You'll find sacks like drawstring backpacks, dry bags, and compression sacks used for activities such as camping, hiking, swimming, or gym workouts. These bags are valued for their lightweight design, easy access, and versatility. Depending on the activity, sacks can help keep your gear organized, dry, or compressed for easier transport.

While sack and “sac” sound similar, they have different uses. Sack is the common spelling for bags used in sports and outdoor activities, like gym sacks or dry sacks. “Sac” is more often used in scientific or medical contexts, such as “amniotic sac.” For shopping or outdoor gear, you’ll want to search for sack products.

In slang, sack can have a few meanings, but in the context of sports and outdoors, it typically refers to a bag for carrying gear. Sometimes, people use “sack” to mean a nap or sleep (“hit the sack”), but that’s unrelated to sports equipment. When shopping for sacks at Walmart, you’re looking at practical bags for activities like camping, swimming, or gym workouts.

Yes, there are several types of sacks designed for outdoor activities. Some popular options include:

• Drawstring sacks for gym or sports gear
• Dry sacks for keeping items dry during kayaking or hiking
• Compression sacks for packing sleeping bags or clothing

Each type serves a specific purpose, so consider your activity and storage needs when choosing a sack.

Cleaning a sports sack is usually straightforward. For most drawstring or dry sacks:

1. Empty the bag completely.
2. Shake out any loose dirt or debris.
3. Hand wash with mild soap and warm water.
