Choosing the right size for a running jacket can make all the difference in comfort and performance. Here’s what you can do:

• Check the size chart: Each product page usually has a size guide—compare your measurements for the best fit.
• Consider layering: If you plan to wear layers underneath, you might want a slightly looser fit.
• Look for adjustable features: Some jackets have drawcords or elastic cuffs to help customize the fit.
• Read reviews: Other customers often mention if a jacket runs small or large.

Trying on different sizes in-store or using Walmart’s free returns can help you find your ideal fit.

Many running jackets on this page are designed with weather resistance in mind, but not all are fully waterproof. Here’s what to look for:

• Water-resistant materials: Some jackets use fabrics that repel light rain and drizzle.
• Windbreakers: These offer protection from wind and light moisture, but may not keep you dry in heavy rain.
• Waterproof options: Look for jackets labeled as waterproof or with sealed seams for better rain protection.

Always check the product description for details about weather protection to choose the best option for your needs.

Keeping your running jacket clean helps it last longer and perform well. Here’s a general approach:

• Read the care label: Always follow the instructions on the tag for best results.
• Use cold water: Most athletic jackets do well with cold, gentle cycles to protect the fabric.
• Avoid fabric softeners: These can affect moisture-wicking and water-resistant properties.
• Air dry: Hang your jacket to dry instead of using high heat, which can damage technical fabrics.

Spot cleaning is also handy for small stains between washes.

Some running jackets are designed with sun protection in mind. Here’s what to look for:

• UPF rating: Jackets labeled with UPF 50+ offer extra protection against harmful UV rays.
• Long sleeves and high collars: These features help cover more skin during outdoor activities.
• Lightweight, breathable fabrics: These keep you cool while shielding you from the sun.

Check the product details to see if a jacket includes sun-protective features, especially if you spend a lot of time running outdoors.

Absolutely! While these jackets are designed with runners in mind, their versatile features make them great for other activities too. Here are some ideas:

• Hiking and walking: Lightweight and breathable designs are perfect for outdoor adventures.
• Yoga and gym workouts: Many jackets offer stretch and comfort for a range of movements.
• Travel and casual wear: Stylish cuts and practical pockets make them handy for everyday use.
