Choosing the right size record jacket depends on the type of vinyl you want to protect.

• 12-inch jackets are ideal for standard LPs (33 RPM).
• 10-inch jackets fit 78 RPM records.
• 7-inch sleeves are for 45 RPM singles.

Inner sleeves are designed to protect the vinyl record itself from dust and scratches, while outer sleeves shield the album cover from wear, moisture, and handling.

• Inner sleeves usually fit directly over the record and are made from paper or plastic.
• Outer sleeves are clear plastic covers that go over the entire album jacket.

To help your record jackets stay in top condition:

• Store them upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Use outer sleeves to protect against dust, spills, and shelf wear.
• Handle records and jackets with clean hands to avoid smudges.
• Avoid stacking records flat, as this can cause warping or pressure marks.

Yes, colored record jackets are a fun way to personalize and organize your vinyl collection. They work just like standard jackets but add a pop of color, making it easier to sort or highlight special albums. Some colored jackets even have center holes, so you can see the record label without removing the vinyl. Just make sure the size matches your records for the best fit and protection.

To clean clear plastic outer sleeves, gently wipe them with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. If needed, use a slightly damp cloth with water—avoid harsh chemicals, as they can damage the plastic. Let the sleeves air dry completely before putting them back on your records. Regular cleaning can help keep your collection looking sharp and free from buildup.
