Choosing the right length for rawhide laces depends on your shoe or boot style. Here’s a quick guide:

• Measure your old laces or count the eyelets—more eyelets usually need longer laces.
• For ankle boots, 120cm (about 47 inches) is common, while taller boots may need 160cm or more.
• If you’re unsure, it’s better to go a bit longer; you can always trim rawhide laces to fit.

Walmart offers a variety of lengths to suit different footwear, so check the product details before purchasing.

Rawhide laces are a popular choice for outdoor boots because they’re known for their durability and classic look. Here’s why they work well:

• Rawhide is tough and resists fraying, making it suitable for rugged use.
• They hold knots securely, which is helpful for hiking or work boots.
• Keep in mind, rawhide can stiffen if it gets wet, so it’s a good idea to let them dry naturally after exposure to moisture.

For heavy-duty outdoor activities, always check the product description to ensure the laces match your needs.

Yes, you can trim rawhide laces to get the perfect fit for your shoes or boots. Here’s how to do it safely:

• Use sharp scissors to cut the laces to your desired length.
• After trimming, you can gently taper the ends to make threading easier.
• If needed, apply a small dab of clear glue to the tips to help prevent fraying.

Always double-check the length before cutting, as rawhide can’t be rejoined once trimmed.
