Homemade raspberry puree is simple and flexible. Here’s a basic approach you can adapt:

1. Rinse and prep: Gently rinse raspberries and pat dry.
2. Blend: Add berries to a blender with a splash of water. Sweetener or a little lemon juice is optional, depending on taste.
3. Strain (optional): For a smoother, seedless puree, pass it through a fine mesh sieve.
4. Use or store: Refrigerate in a clean, covered container. For longer storage, freeze in portions.

Texture, sweetness, and color can vary by fruit and equipment. If you prefer ready-to-use options, Walmart offers raspberry purees and drink mixes in pourable and squeezable formats.

Raspberry puree is versatile and can add bright fruit flavor to lots of recipes. Popular uses include:

• Drinks: Cocktails, mocktails, lemonades, iced teas, and smoothies.
• Desserts: Swirling into cheesecake, topping ice cream, or layering cakes.
• Breakfast: Mixing into yogurt, pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal.
• Sauces: Drizzling over brownies or pairing with chocolate and vanilla.

Start with 1–2 tablespoons, then adjust to taste. For beverages, a seedless, pourable fruit puree blends smoothly. On Walmart.com, you’ll find options like squeezable bottles and pourable fruit puree, with pickup and delivery available in many areas.

They’re related but used a bit differently:

• Raspberry syrup: Typically sweeter and thinner, often made with raspberry flavor plus added sugar. It dissolves easily in cold drinks and is great for cocktails, sodas, and sweetening beverages.
• Raspberry puree: Generally thicker and more fruit-forward, with a blended fruit texture. It’s useful for smoothies, dessert fillings, swirls, and sauces where body matters.

Both can work in drinks and desserts, but the choice depends on sweetness and texture you’re aiming for. Walmart carries both styles, including pourable fruit purees and drink mixes, so you can match them to your recipe needs.

In recipes, a puree is fruit or vegetables that have been blended into a smooth consistency. Fruit purees (like raspberry) may be seedless if strained, and they’re thicker than juice, adding body and flavor to drinks, desserts, and sauces.

On Walmart.com, you’ll see a few related formats:

• Fruit puree: Pourable or squeezable, ready for mixing.
• Drink mixes/syrups: Often thinner and sweeter for beverages.
• Powders: Used for flavoring and coloring; they’re not the same texture as puree.

Choose the format that fits your recipe’s texture and sweetness goals.

Storage can vary by product, so it’s best to follow the label. In general:

• Refrigerate after opening: Keep the cap clean and tightly closed.
• Avoid cross-contamination: Use clean utensils and pour, don’t dip, when possible.
• Freeze extras: Portion into ice cube trays or small containers to extend use.
• Check appearance and aroma: If it changes noticeably, it’s safer to discard.

Formats at Walmart include shelf-stable pourable purees, squeezable bottles, and drink mixes. Product pages typically include storage notes, and you can choose pickup or delivery for convenience.
