Mold on raspberries usually appears as fuzzy, white or gray patches on the fruit’s surface. Sometimes, you might notice a powdery texture or a slight change in color where the mold is growing. Common signs include:

• Soft, mushy spots
• Visible fuzz or web-like growth
• Unpleasant odor

If you spot any of these signs, it’s best to avoid using those raspberries for baking or decorating. Always check your fruit molds and ingredients before starting your dessert projects to keep your creations fresh and safe.

If you find mold on one raspberry, it’s a good idea to check the rest carefully. Mold can spread quickly, especially in moist environments. Here’s what you can do:

• Remove any moldy raspberries right away
• Inspect the remaining fruit for signs of mold or softness
• If the rest look and smell fresh, rinse them before use

When using raspberry molds for baking or decorating, always start with clean, mold-free fruit to get the best results and keep your treats safe to enjoy.

Raspberries are delicate and hold a lot of moisture, which makes them more likely to develop mold quickly. Some reasons include:

• High humidity in storage areas
• Close contact with other berries
• Natural softness and thin skin

To help keep your raspberries fresh for baking or candy molds, store them in a dry, cool place and avoid washing until you’re ready to use them. This can help slow down mold growth and keep your ingredients in top shape for creative dessert projects.

To keep raspberries fresh for your baking or silicone molds, try these tips:

• Store raspberries in a single layer in the fridge
• Keep them dry until you’re ready to use them
• Use a paper towel to absorb excess moisture

Fresh, firm raspberries work best in dessert molds, helping your creations hold their shape and look their best. Checking your fruit before using it in molds can make a big difference in the final result.

Many raspberry-shaped silicone molds are versatile and can be used for more than just baking. Depending on the product’s description, you can try:

• Crafting with resin or clay
• Making homemade candles or soaps
• DIY projects like bath bombs

Always check that the mold is labeled as food-grade if you plan to use it for edible treats. For non-food projects, make sure to dedicate a separate mold to avoid cross-contamination and keep your creative process safe and enjoyable.
