Puddle lights are small LED lights typically installed under side mirrors or doors. Their main purpose is to illuminate the ground near your vehicle when you unlock or open the door, making it easier to see hazards like puddles, curbs, or debris. This added visibility can help you avoid stepping into water or mud and makes entering or exiting your vehicle safer, especially at night. Many modern vehicles come with these lights, but you can also find aftermarket options to upgrade or replace them.

• First, check your vehicle's compatibility with the puddle lights you want to install.
• Most kits include step-by-step instructions and wiring harnesses for easy installation.
• You'll usually need to remove the side mirror or door panel, connect the lights to the existing wiring, and secure them in place.
• It's important to follow all safety guidelines and use the correct tools.
• If you're unsure, consider consulting a professional installer to avoid damaging your vehicle's electrical system.

Many aftermarket puddle lights offer multiple color options, allowing you to customize your vehicle's look. Some kits come with selectable colors or even remote controls for easy switching. Before purchasing, check the product details to see if color-changing features are included. Keep in mind that certain colors may be subject to local regulations, so it's a good idea to verify what's allowed in your area.

Most puddle lights designed for vehicles are built to be waterproof and durable, so they can function reliably in rain, snow, or muddy conditions. Look for lights with waterproof ratings and sturdy construction to ensure longevity. While these lights are made to withstand harsh weather, regular maintenance and occasional checks can help keep them working well throughout the year.

1. Start by checking the bulb or LED for visible damage.
2. Inspect the wiring connections to make sure they're secure and free from corrosion.
3. If your vehicle has a fuse dedicated to puddle lights, verify that it hasn't blown.
4. Sometimes, moisture or debris can cause issues, so gently clean the area around the light.
5. If the problem persists, consult your vehicle's manual or reach out to a qualified technician for further assistance.
