Many onn universal remotes offer a code search or auto-program feature, so you don't always need a code to pair it. Try these steps:

1. Turn on your TV manually.
2. Press and hold the Setup button (or Program, depending on your remote) until the indicator light stays on.
3. Press the device button (like TV).
4. Point the remote at your TV and press the Power button repeatedly until the TV turns off. This may take several tries as the remote cycles through possible codes.
5. Once the TV turns off, press Enter or OK to save the code.

If your remote doesn't have a setup button, check the included instructions or look for a quick-start guide online. Results can vary depending on your TV and remote model.

The 4-digit code for pairing an onn universal remote with a TV depends on the TV brand and model. Each remote comes with a code list in the manual or packaging. If you've misplaced it, you can often find code lists online by searching for your remote's model number. Try common codes like 3537, 2049, or 2434 for onn TVs, but keep in mind that codes may vary. If none work, use the remote's auto-program feature or reach out to customer support for more help.

If you don't have the code sheet, you can still program your universal remote using the auto-search method. Here's how:

• Turn on your device (like your TV).
• Press and hold the Setup or Program button until the indicator light stays on.
• Select the device button (e.g., TV).
• Press the Power button repeatedly to cycle through codes until the device responds.
• When it turns off, press Enter to save.

This process can take a few minutes. If your remote doesn't have these buttons, check the user manual or search for your model's instructions online.

Yes, you can program an onn universal remote even if it doesn't have a number pad. Most remotes have a Setup or Program button, and you can use the auto-search method:

• Hold the Setup button until the light stays on.
• Press the device button (like TV).
• Use the Channel Up or Power button to search for the right code.
• When your device responds, press OK to save.

Instructions may vary by model, so check your remote's manual for details.

If your universal remote isn't working, try these troubleshooting tips:

• Clear obstructions: Ensure nothing is blocking the signal between the remote and your device.
• Reset the remote: Some remotes have a reset button or a process in the manual to restore factory settings.
• Consult the manual: Look for troubleshooting steps specific to your model.
