Philips lighting is now known as Signify, which is the company’s new name for its lighting division. However, you’ll still find the Philips brand on many lighting products, including string lights and smart lighting options. The rebranding mainly affects the company’s corporate identity, while the familiar Philips name continues to be used for consumer lighting products available at retailers like Walmart. If you’re shopping for string lights or decorative lighting, you can look for the Philips logo on packaging to ensure you’re getting the same trusted quality.

When looking for high-quality string lights, consider a few key features:

• Durability: Look for lights with sturdy wiring and weather-resistant materials, especially for outdoor use.
• LED Technology: LED bulbs are energy-efficient and tend to last longer than traditional incandescent bulbs.
• Versatility: Some string lights offer color-changing options or can be shaped to fit different spaces.
• Safety: Check for certifications and indoor/outdoor ratings to match your needs.

Reading customer reviews and product details on Walmart’s site can help you compare options and find the right fit for your space.

The lifespan of Philips string lights depends on the type of bulb and how they’re used. LED string lights are designed to last much longer than incandescent options—often up to several years with regular use. Factors like exposure to weather, frequency of use, and proper storage during off-seasons can impact longevity. Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions to help extend the life of your lights. For the most accurate details, check the product packaging or description on Walmart’s website.

Many string lights are designed for both indoor and outdoor use, but it’s important to check the packaging or product details for weather resistance ratings. Outdoor-rated string lights can typically handle rain and snow, making them suitable for year-round use. However, to help maintain performance, you might want to bring them inside during extreme weather or when not in use for long periods. Always follow the care and safety guidelines provided with your lights to keep them working their best.
