Indoor fly traps use a combination of light and sticky surfaces to attract and capture flying insects. Most models emit a soft blue or UV light that draws in pests like house flies, fruit flies, and gnats. Once the insects approach the light, they're caught on a sticky cartridge or pad inside the device. This method helps reduce flying insects without using sprays or strong odors. For best results, place the trap in areas where you notice the most activity, like kitchens or near fruit bowls. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for safe and effective use.

To get the most out of your indoor fly trap, position it in spots where flying insects are most active.

• Common areas include near trash cans, fruit bowls, or kitchen counters.
• Avoid placing traps near open windows or doors, as this can draw more insects inside.
• Keep the trap away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets.

It's a good idea to check the sticky cartridge in your fly trap regularly. Most users find that replacing the cartridge every 15 to 30 days helps maintain optimal performance, but this can vary based on how many insects are being caught. If you notice the cartridge is full or less sticky, it's time for a new one. Always use the correct refill for your specific trap model and follow the instructions for safe replacement and disposal.

Most indoor fly traps are designed to be safe for use around pets, as they don't use sprays or harsh chemicals. However, it's important to place the trap out of reach of curious pets to prevent accidental contact with the sticky cartridge. Always read the product packaging and instructions for any specific safety guidelines. If you have concerns about your pet's safety, consider placing the trap in an area pets can't access.
