Installing metal command hooks is simple and doesn't require tools. Start by cleaning the wall surface with rubbing alcohol to remove dust and oils. Let it dry completely. Next, peel off the adhesive backing from the strip and press it firmly onto the back of the hook. Then, press the hook onto the wall for about 30 seconds. Wait at least an hour before hanging items to allow the adhesive to bond. Tip: For best results, avoid using on wallpaper, textured, or rough surfaces, as adhesion may vary.

Many metal command hooks are suitable for use in bathrooms, but it's important to check the product packaging for moisture resistance. Some hooks are designed to handle humidity and can be used on tile, glass, or painted walls.

• Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying.
• Allow the adhesive to set for at least an hour before hanging items.

Weight limits for metal command hooks can vary by size and style. Most large hooks can hold up to 5 pounds, while extra-large options may support up to 10 pounds. Always check the packaging or product details for the specific weight capacity. Tip: To help prevent damage, avoid exceeding the recommended weight and distribute weight evenly when hanging multiple items.

To remove a command hook safely, hold the hook gently and pull the adhesive strip straight down, keeping it close to the wall. Stretch the strip slowly until it releases. This method helps minimize the risk of peeling paint or leaving residue.

• Don’t pull the hook away from the wall, as this can cause damage.
• If any adhesive remains, gently rub it off with your fingers.

Metal command hooks themselves can often be reused, but the adhesive strips are typically single-use. If you want to reuse a hook, you’ll need to purchase replacement adhesive strips.

• Clean the hook and the new surface before reapplying.
• Follow the same installation steps as with a new hook.
