Choosing the right mat size depends on how much floor coverage you need. First, measure your workout or play area and compare it to the product dimensions in the description. Keep in mind each set lists the square footage it covers—if you have a larger area, you might need more than one set.

• Consider an extra few inches around equipment for added safety.
• Think about future needs—having a slightly bigger mat can give you more workout options.
• Check how interlocking tiles connect for easy expansion.

This way, your space stays flexible and protected.

Many interlocking foam and rubber mats are made to handle the weight of common gym equipment, but performance can vary by thickness and material.

• Look for mats described as "high-density" or with a "rubber top" for extra durability.
• Thicker mats tend to offer better protection for floors and can help absorb impact.
• If you're using especially heavy machines, it may help to double-check the product details for max weight support info.

With the right mat, you can help reduce noise and keep your floors looking great.

Keeping your mats clean is simple when you follow these easy steps:

1. Sweep or vacuum the mats regularly to remove dust and debris.
2. Wipe them with a damp cloth using mild soap and water—avoid harsh chemicals, which can damage the surface.
3. Let the mats air dry fully before using them again to prevent moisture buildup.
4. For deeper cleaning, you can disassemble the tiles and clean each piece individually.

Regular cleaning helps your mats last longer and keeps your workout space fresh.

Many interlocking mats can be used over low-pile carpet, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

• Mats usually stay put on hard surfaces, but can sometimes shift on carpeting—especially with high-impact exercises.
• If they're being placed over thick or plush carpet, they may not lock together as securely.
• It's helpful to check the product instructions for specific flooring compatibility.

Using a mat over carpet can add extra cushioning, but it's a good idea to test a small area to see how well the tiles stay in place during your routine.

Storing spare puzzle mat tiles is easy and keeps your space tidy:

• Stack the tiles flat in a cool, dry place to prevent warping.
• Keep them away from direct sunlight or heat sources to avoid fading.
• If the tiles came with an instruction sheet or connectors, store those nearby so you're ready for quick setups in the future.
• A large storage bin or closet shelf can work well for keeping everything together and dust-free.

This way, you'll always be ready to expand or rearrange your workout area as needed.
