Most Apple laptops and desktops listed on this page are designed to run macOS, Apple's operating system. You can check the product title or description for phrases like 'Mac OS,' 'Mac OS Sierra,' or 'M1 Chip,' which indicate compatibility. If you're shopping for a pre-owned or restored device, it's a good idea to review the specs and confirm the operating system version included. If you need help, Walmart's customer support can assist with details about the device's software.

Upgrading macOS on a pre-owned Mac is often possible, but it depends on the model and its hardware.

• Check the device's processor, RAM, and storage to see if it meets the requirements for newer macOS versions.
• Visit Apple's official site for compatibility lists.
• Back up your data before attempting any upgrade.

The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro both run macOS, but they have some key differences:

• MacBook Air: Lightweight, typically suited for everyday tasks like browsing and document editing.
• MacBook Pro: Offers more power, better graphics, and is ideal for demanding tasks like video editing or multitasking.

Setting up a pre-owned Mac is straightforward.

1. Power on the device and follow the on-screen instructions to select your language and region.
2. Connect to Wi-Fi and sign in with your Apple ID.
3. Check for software updates in System Preferences.
4. Customize settings like privacy and accessibility as needed.

Buying restored Macs from Walmart can be a reliable option. Restored devices are inspected and tested to meet quality standards, and they typically come with a warranty or return policy.

• Check the product description for details about the restoration process.
• Look for information about included accessories and software.
• Review Walmart’s return policy for peace of mind.
