When people mention "linens," they're usually talking about household textiles used for bedding, like sheets, pillowcases, and sometimes duvet covers. Linens can refer to items made from linen fabric, but the term is also commonly used for bedding made from cotton, microfiber, or blends. In most cases, if you're shopping for new sheets or bedding sets, you'll see them grouped under the linens category, making it easier to find everything you need for your bed in one place.

Yes, bed sheets are a classic example of what people call linens.

• Both fitted and flat sheets, as well as pillowcases, fall under this category.
• Even though "linen" is a type of fabric, the term "linens" in stores usually covers all kinds of bedding materials, including cotton, microfiber, and blends.

The linens section typically includes a variety of bedding essentials, such as:

• Sheet sets (fitted sheets, flat sheets, pillowcases)
• Individual sheets and pillowcases
• Bed covers and sometimes duvet covers

Choosing the right linens depends on a few factors:

• Size: Make sure the sheets match your mattress size (like queen, king, or twin).
• Material: Options include cotton, linen, microfiber, and blends, each offering different textures and breathability.
• Thread count and weave: These can affect softness and durability.
• Care instructions: Some linens are easier to wash and maintain than others.

Linen sheets are known for a few unique qualities:

• They're naturally breathable, which can help keep you cool during warmer nights.
• Linen is often praised for its durability and ability to get softer with each wash.
• Some people appreciate the textured look and feel of linen, which adds a relaxed style to the bedroom.
