When comparing XL and 2XL, 2XL is generally considered a larger size. Clothing sizes like XL (Extra Large) and 2XL (Double Extra Large) are part of the extended sizing options, especially in plus size and big & tall categories.

• XL usually fits chest sizes around 44-46 inches for men and 16-18 for women.
• 2XL typically fits chest sizes around 48-50 inches for men and 20-22 for women.

Keep in mind, sizing can vary by brand and style, so it's always a good idea to check the specific size chart for the item you're interested in.

Finding the right plus size starts with knowing your measurements. Use a flexible tape measure to check your bust, waist, and hips, then compare those numbers to the size chart provided on the product page.

• Look for 'plus,' 'big & tall,' or 'extended sizes' in the product title.
• Read customer reviews for fit tips.
• Some styles are designed to be more relaxed, while others are fitted—choose what feels best for you.

If you're between sizes, consider how you like your clothes to fit—looser for comfort or more fitted for style.

"Big and tall" refers to clothing designed for those who need larger and/or longer sizes than standard options.

• Big sizes offer more room in the chest, waist, and arms.
• Tall sizes add extra length to sleeves, inseams, and the torso.

This category is especially helpful for shoppers who find regular sizes too tight or too short. You’ll see these options in shirts, pants, and even outerwear, making it easier to find a comfortable fit at Walmart.

No, a large (L) and an extra large (XL) are different sizes.

• Large is typically one size smaller than XL.
• Each step up usually adds 2-4 inches in chest or waist measurements, depending on the brand and item.

Always check the size chart for the specific product, as sizing can vary. If you’re in between, consider how you want your clothing to fit—some prefer a looser feel, while others like a closer fit.

There are several types of large sizes to help you find the best fit:

• Plus Size: Designed for fuller figures, often labeled 1X, 2X, 3X, etc.
• Big & Tall: For those needing more room and length in shirts, pants, and outerwear.
• Extended Sizes: Includes sizes above XL, such as 2XL, 3XL, and beyond.
• Petite Plus: For shorter individuals who need plus sizing.

Each type addresses different body shapes and proportions, so you can shop with confidence at Walmart.
