Choosing the right menstrual cup size depends on a few personal factors. Most brands offer small and large options. Consider the following:

• Age and childbirth history: Some people who haven’t given birth may prefer a smaller size, while those who have may find a larger size more comfortable.
• Flow level: If you have a heavier flow, a larger cup may be helpful, but comfort is key.
• Height of cervix: If you know your cervix sits higher or lower, check product details for recommended cup lengths.

If you’re unsure, many shoppers start with a smaller size and adjust as needed. Always read the product’s sizing guide for more details.

Keeping your menstrual cup clean is important for comfort and safety. Here’s a simple routine:

1. Before first use: Boil the cup in water for 5-10 minutes to sanitize.
2. During your period: Rinse with cold water to prevent stains, then wash with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water. Avoid harsh cleaners or antibacterial soaps.
3. After your cycle: Boil the cup again, let it dry completely, and store it in a breathable container, not an airtight bag.

Always follow the instructions included with your product for best results.

Inserting and removing a menstrual cup gets easier with practice. Here’s a general guide:

• Insertion: Wash your hands, fold the cup (C-fold or punch-down fold are common), and gently insert it into the vagina. The cup should open fully to create a seal.
• Removal: Wash your hands, pinch the base of the cup to release the seal, and gently pull it out. Avoid pulling on the stem alone.

Relax and take your time. If you’re new to menstrual cups, reading the included instructions and practicing during a lighter flow day can help.

Many people choose to wear menstrual cups overnight because they can typically be worn for up to 12 hours, depending on your flow. Here are some tips:

• Empty and clean the cup before bed for comfort and hygiene.
• If you have a heavier flow, you may want to check the cup sooner the first few times.
• Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for maximum wear time.

If you have specific health concerns, it’s a good idea to consult a healthcare professional.

If your menstrual cup leaks, it could be due to a few reasons:

• Improper fit: The cup may not be the right size or shape for your body.
• Incorrect placement: Make sure the cup is fully open and sealed after insertion.
• Overflow: On heavy flow days, you may need to empty the cup more often.

Try adjusting the position or practicing different folding techniques. If leaks continue, you might want to explore other sizes or styles available at Walmart.
