Choosing the right fishing net size depends on the type of fish you're targeting and where you'll be fishing.

• Smaller nets are great for catching bait or smaller fish in ponds and streams.
• Larger nets work well for bigger fish or saltwater fishing, and are helpful when fishing from a boat or pier.
• Consider the mesh size—smaller mesh is ideal for tiny bait, while larger mesh suits bigger fish.

Think about portability and storage, too. Collapsible or telescopic nets are easy to carry and store, making your fishing trips more convenient.

To keep your fishing net in good shape, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water after each use, especially if you've been in saltwater.

• Remove any debris or fish scales from the mesh.
• Let the net air dry completely before storing to prevent mold and odors.
• For tough stains, use mild soap and gently scrub with a soft brush.

Regular cleaning helps extend the net’s life and keeps it ready for your next fishing adventure.

Many nets available are designed for both freshwater and saltwater use.

• Look for nets with rubber-coated mesh or corrosion-resistant handles, as these materials handle saltwater better.
• Always rinse your net after saltwater use to remove salt residue and prevent damage.

Check product details for specific features, and remember that proper care can help your net last longer in saltwater environments.

Some fishing nets offer replacement parts like handles, mesh, or hardware.

• Check the product description or packaging for information about spare parts.
• Walmart’s online store may carry accessories or replacement components for popular net styles.

If you need a specific part, searching by the net’s model or contacting customer service can help you find what you’re looking for.

Storing a large net is easier if it’s collapsible or foldable.

• Fold or collapse the net and secure it with straps or ties.
• Keep it in a dry, cool place to avoid moisture buildup and mildew.
• If your net comes with a storage bag, use it to protect the mesh and handle.

Proper storage keeps your net in good condition and ready for your next outing.
