Hotfix rhinestones come with a heat-activated adhesive on the back, so you use a hotfix applicator tool to attach them to fabric. Glue-on rhinestones require a separate adhesive, which you apply manually.

• Hotfix: Quick and less messy, ideal for fabrics that can handle heat.
• Glue-on: Works on a wider range of surfaces, but takes longer to dry and can be messier.

Choosing between them depends on your project, materials, and preference for speed or flexibility.

Hotfix rhinestones are designed to stay attached through gentle washing, but how well they last depends on fabric type and washing method.

• Turn garments inside out before washing.
• Use a gentle cycle and cold water.
• Air dry instead of using a dryer.

These steps can help preserve the rhinestones, but results may vary based on your care routine and the materials used.

A hotfix applicator tool heats up and transfers heat to the adhesive on the back of hotfix rhinestones.

1. Plug in the applicator and let it heat up.
2. Pick up a rhinestone with the correct tip.
3. Hold the tool against the rhinestone until the adhesive melts.
4. Press the rhinestone onto your fabric.

Always follow the safety instructions and avoid touching the heated tip directly.

Both hotfix and E6000 glue have their strengths for attaching rhinestones.

• Hotfix: Great for fabric projects, quick application, less mess.
• E6000 glue: Strong bond, works on more surfaces like wood, leather, or plastic.

Your choice depends on the materials and how permanent you want the embellishment. Always check product instructions for compatibility and safety.

Hotfix applicators can be used on some leathers and shoes, but it’s important to test a small area first.

• Some materials may not tolerate heat well.
• Check the manufacturer’s care instructions for your item.
• Use the lowest heat setting and avoid prolonged contact.

This can help you avoid damage and achieve the best results for your project.
