Choosing the right size half gloves can make a big difference in comfort and function. Here’s how you can find your fit:

• Measure your hand: Use a flexible tape to measure around your palm, just below the knuckles (excluding the thumb).
• Check the size chart: Each product usually has a sizing guide—compare your measurement to the chart for the best match.
• Consider stretch: Knit or stretchy materials offer more flexibility, while leather or padded gloves may fit snugger.
• Try them on: If possible, try the gloves on to ensure they’re not too tight or loose, especially around the fingers and wrist.

Half gloves are a popular choice for typing and texting, especially in cooler weather. Their fingerless design lets your fingertips move freely, making it easier to use keyboards, touchscreens, and other devices. Many styles are made from soft, flexible materials that keep your hands warm without sacrificing dexterity. If you need extra grip or support, look for gloves with textured palms or added padding. Just keep in mind that while half gloves offer warmth and flexibility, they may not provide full protection in very cold conditions.

Whether you can machine wash your half gloves depends on the material. Here are some general tips:

• Knit or cotton gloves: Most can be machine washed on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air drying helps maintain their shape.
• Leather or faux leather gloves: It’s best to spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking or machine washing, as water can damage the material.
• Specialty gloves (like heated or LED): Always check the care instructions, as these may require hand washing or special care.

When in doubt, check the product label or Walmart’s product details for care instructions.

Half gloves are versatile and work well for a variety of activities. Some common uses include:

• Driving: They offer grip and comfort for steering wheels.
• Wheelchair use: Padded options can help reduce friction and improve control.
• Cycling and sports: Many styles have anti-slip features and shock absorption for biking, fishing, or training.
• Outdoor work: They keep hands warm while allowing finger movement for tasks like typing, handling tools, or using devices.
• Cosplay or fashion: Fun designs add style to costumes or everyday outfits.

Proper storage can help your half gloves last longer and stay looking great. Here’s what you can do:

• Clean before storing: Make sure gloves are clean and dry to prevent odors or mildew.
• Keep them flat: Lay gloves flat in a drawer or storage box to avoid creasing, especially for leather or padded styles.
• Avoid direct sunlight: Store away from heat or sunlight, which can fade colors or dry out materials.
• Pair them together: Use a clip or small bag to keep pairs together so you don’t lose one.
