The main difference between a g-string and a thong is the amount of fabric and coverage.

• G-strings have a very thin string at the back, offering minimal coverage and a barely-there feel.
• Thongs usually have a slightly wider strip of fabric at the back, providing a bit more coverage while still reducing visible panty lines.

Both styles are designed to be discreet under clothing, but g-strings are generally considered the skimpiest option. Choosing between them depends on your comfort and style preferences.

G-strings are designed with stretchy materials and a snug waistband to help them stay put.

• The waistband sits comfortably around your hips.
• The thin string or fabric at the back connects to the waistband, creating a secure fit.
• Most g-strings use soft, flexible fabrics like cotton, lace, or silk for comfort.

Proper sizing is important—if the g-string is too loose or too tight, it may shift or feel uncomfortable. Always check the size chart before purchasing for the best fit.

The skimpiest type of thong is usually called a micro g-string.

• Micro g-strings feature extremely thin strings and minimal fabric, offering the least coverage.
• They’re designed for a barely-there look and feel, making them popular for occasions when you want to avoid visible lines under tight clothing.

There are also styles like Y-back and T-back g-strings, which offer similar minimal coverage. Always choose what feels comfortable for you.

Choosing the right size g-string is all about comfort and fit.

• Check the size chart provided for each product, as sizing can vary.
• Consider your hip measurements and preferred rise (low, mid, or high).
• Look for adjustable options if you’re between sizes.

A well-fitting g-string should sit snugly without digging in or slipping. If you’re unsure, many packs offer multiple sizes to help you find your best fit.
