Choosing the right size glider walker can make a big difference in comfort and safety.

• Check the height range: Most walkers list a recommended user height. Make sure it matches your needs.
• Look for adjustable handles: Adjustable handles help you find a comfortable grip and posture.
• Consider weight capacity: Each walker has a maximum weight limit, so check this to ensure it fits your requirements.
• Test maneuverability: If possible, try out the walker in-store to see how it feels when walking and turning.

If you’re unsure, a store associate can help you find a good fit for your needs.

Several features can make a glider walker more user-friendly:

• Lightweight frames: Easier to lift and maneuver, especially for daily use.
• Folding design: Makes storage and transport simple, whether you’re at home or on the go.
• Wheels and glide skis: Help the walker move smoothly over different surfaces.
• Adjustable backrests and seats: Offer extra comfort during longer walks or breaks.

Consider which features matter most for your lifestyle and daily activities.

Many glider walkers are designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

• All-terrain wheels: Larger wheels can handle uneven surfaces like sidewalks or grass better than smaller ones.
• Sturdy frames: Look for walkers with durable construction for outdoor reliability.
• Brakes: Hand brakes add extra control on slopes or rough ground.

Always check the product details to see if it’s suitable for outdoor use, and use caution on wet or slippery surfaces.

Keeping your glider walker clean helps it last longer and work better.

• Wipe down the frame: Use a damp cloth with mild soap to clean the frame and handles.
• Check the wheels: Remove dirt or debris from the wheels regularly to keep them rolling smoothly.
• Clean the seat and backrest: If your walker has a seat or backrest, wipe them with a gentle cleaner as needed.

Let all parts dry completely before using the walker again. Always follow the care instructions included with your product.

Replacement parts like wheels, glide skis, and hand grips are often available for many glider walkers.

• Check the product manual: It usually lists compatible replacement parts and how to order them.
• Visit Walmart’s website: Search for walker accessories or replacement parts in the mobility aids section.
• Ask in-store: Store associates can help you find the right parts or direct you to customer service for special orders.

Using the correct parts helps maintain your walker’s safety and performance.
