Finding the right size is all about comfort and fit. Start by checking the size chart on the product page and compare it to your measurements, especially your waist and inseam. If you’re between sizes, consider whether you prefer a looser or more fitted look. Some fly pants have adjustable waistbands or a bit of stretch, which can offer extra flexibility. If you’re shopping for kids or teens, look for styles with elastic waists or adjustable features for growing room. If you’re unsure, you can always try a couple of sizes and use Walmart’s easy return options.

Button fly pants use a series of buttons to close the front, while zip fly pants have a zipper.

• Button fly: Often found in retro or classic styles, they can offer a unique look and may feel more secure for some wearers.
• Zip fly: Quick and easy to use, making them a popular choice for everyday wear.

Many fly pants are designed with outdoor use in mind. Look for features like stretch fabric, moisture-wicking materials, or UPF protection if you’ll be spending time in the sun. Cargo styles with multiple pockets are handy for carrying essentials, and relaxed fits can give you more freedom to move. Always check the product details for specific features that match your activity, whether it’s hiking, camping, or just running errands outside.

Most fly pants can be machine washed, but it’s a good idea to check the care label first.

1. Turn pants inside out to help preserve color and details.
2. Wash in cold or warm water with similar colors.
3. Avoid bleach and harsh detergents.
4. For best results, tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
