Choosing the right fixie riser bar size depends on your riding style and bike setup.

• Width: Wider bars offer more control, while narrower ones are better for tight spaces.
• Rise: Higher rise can provide a more upright, comfortable position.
• Clamp diameter: Make sure the bar fits your bike's stem, commonly 25.4mm or 31.8mm.

Check your bike's specs and think about how you ride—commuting, cruising, or tricks—to find the best fit. If you're unsure, you can always ask a Walmart associate for guidance.

Most fixie bikes can be fitted with riser bars, but you'll want to check a few things first.

• Stem compatibility: Make sure the riser bar's clamp diameter matches your bike's stem.
• Brake setup: If your fixie has brakes, confirm they can be mounted on the new bar.
• Handlebar width: Ensure the bar isn't too wide or narrow for your frame and riding style.

Swapping bars is a popular upgrade, but double-check your bike's specs for a smooth installation.

Installing riser bars is pretty straightforward if you have the right tools.

1. Remove your old handlebar by loosening the stem bolts.
2. Slide the new riser bar into the stem, making sure it’s centered.
3. Tighten the stem bolts evenly, but don’t overtighten.
4. Reattach grips, brakes, and other accessories.

Always check that everything is secure before riding. If you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, Walmart offers bike assembly services in many locations.

Keeping your fixie riser bars clean helps them last longer and look great.

• Wipe them down with a damp cloth after rides.
• Use mild soap for tougher dirt, but avoid harsh chemicals.
• Dry thoroughly to prevent corrosion, especially if your bars are aluminum alloy.

Regular cleaning also lets you spot any wear or damage early, so you can keep your bike in top shape.

Replacement grips for riser bars are widely available and easy to install.

• Most grips fit standard riser bar diameters (like 22.2mm).
• Choose grips based on your comfort and riding style—some offer extra padding or textured surfaces.
• To install, just slide off the old grips and push on the new ones, sometimes using a little rubbing alcohol to help them slide.

Walmart carries a variety of grips, so you can refresh your handlebars whenever you need.
