Installing eave lights outdoors can be straightforward if you follow a few steps.

• First, check that your lights are rated for outdoor use and waterproof.
• Clean the area under your eaves to ensure a secure attachment.
• Use mounting clips or adhesive strips as recommended by the manufacturer.
• Connect the lights to a power source, making sure to use outdoor-rated extension cords if needed.
• Test the lights before finalizing placement.

Always follow the included instructions and take care when working on ladders or near electrical outlets.

Many eave lights available at Walmart offer smart features, including app control.

• Check the product description for compatibility with mobile apps.
• Most smart eave lights connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, allowing you to adjust colors, brightness, and even set timers from your phone.
• Some models also sync with music or offer remote control options.

Make sure your device meets the app requirements and follow setup instructions for a smooth experience.

Most eave lights designed for outdoor use are waterproof, often rated IP65 or higher.

• This means they can withstand rain and wet conditions.
• Always check the waterproof rating in the product details before installation.
• Ensure all connections and plugs are protected from direct water exposure.

Proper installation and using outdoor-rated accessories can help keep your lights safe during rainy weather.

Choosing the right length for eave lights depends on your home's measurements.

• Measure the perimeter of the area you want to decorate, such as the eaves or roofline.
• Consider if you want full coverage or just accent sections.
• Lights come in various lengths, so select a set that matches your needs or combine multiple sets for larger spaces.

Planning ahead can help you avoid gaps and ensure a seamless look.

Proper storage helps extend the life of your eave lights.

• Unplug and gently remove the lights, avoiding sharp bends or tangles.
• Wrap them loosely around a spool or use the original packaging.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Label the storage container for easy access next season.

Taking these steps can help keep your lights in good condition for future use.
