Choosing the right size runner rug depends on where you plan to use it. Here are a few tips to help you decide:

• Measure your space: Use a tape measure to find the length and width of the area you want to cover.
• Leave some floor showing: It’s common to leave a few inches of flooring visible on each side of the runner for a balanced look.
• Consider traffic flow: Make sure the rug isn’t too wide or long for walkways, doorways, or furniture placement.

Runner rugs come in various sizes, so you’ll find options for hallways, kitchens, or beside beds. If you’re unsure, it’s always helpful to check the product dimensions listed on Walmart’s site before purchasing.

Keeping your runner rug clean can help it last longer and look great. Here’s how you can care for most runner rugs:

• Vacuum regularly: This helps remove dust and dirt from the surface and fibers.
• Spot clean spills: Use a damp cloth and mild detergent to gently blot any spills. Avoid rubbing, as this can push stains deeper.
• Check care instructions: Some rugs are machine washable, while others may need professional cleaning. Always follow the care label for best results.

For rugs with non-slip backing, make sure they’re completely dry before placing them back on the floor to prevent slipping.

Absolutely! Runner rugs are a popular choice for kitchens, especially in front of sinks or along galley-style layouts. Here’s why they work well:

• Comfort: They add a soft surface underfoot when you’re standing for longer periods.
• Protection: Runner rugs help shield floors from spills, stains, and heavy foot traffic.
• Style: With a variety of colors and patterns, you can easily match your kitchen’s decor.

Look for features like non-slip backing and easy-to-clean materials to make kitchen use even more convenient.

To help prevent your runner rug from sliding around, consider these tips:

• Choose a rug with non-slip backing: Many runner rugs come with built-in rubber or latex backing for extra grip.
• Add a rug pad: If your rug doesn’t have a non-slip base, a rug pad can provide added stability and help protect your floors.
• Keep the floor clean: Dust and debris can reduce grip, so sweep or mop the area before laying down your rug.

Following these steps can help your runner rug stay in place, making your space safer and more comfortable.

Runner rugs are versatile and can be used in many areas of your home. Here are some popular spots:

• Hallways: They add warmth and style while protecting high-traffic areas.
• Entryways: A runner rug can catch dirt and moisture as you come in the door.
• Kitchens: Place one in front of the sink or stove for comfort and floor protection.
• Bedrooms: Use a runner beside the bed for a soft landing in the morning.

With so many designs and sizes available, it’s easy to find a runner rug that fits your space and style at Walmart.
