Using a callus file is pretty straightforward. Start by soaking your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften the skin. Then, gently rub the file over the callused areas in a back-and-forth motion.

• Don’t press too hard—let the file do the work.
• Stop if you feel discomfort.
• After filing, rinse your feet and apply moisturizer.

Always follow the instructions that come with your specific file for best results. If you have any concerns about your feet, it’s a good idea to check with a medical professional.

Yes, many callus files are designed for use on both wet and dry skin.

• Some files work best after soaking your feet, while others can be used right away.
• Check the product instructions to see what’s recommended for your file.
• Using a file on dry skin can help you target rough spots, but be gentle to avoid irritation.

If your skin is very sensitive or cracked, consider soaking your feet first or consult a professional for advice.

Keeping your foot file clean helps it last longer and stay hygienic.

1. Rinse the file under warm water to remove skin debris.
2. Use mild soap and a brush to scrub the surface.
3. Dry it thoroughly before storing.

For files made of metal or glass, you can also wipe them with rubbing alcohol for extra cleanliness. Always check the care instructions for your specific file, as some materials may require special handling.

Manual callus files require you to move the tool over your skin, while electric callus removers use a motorized head to do the work for you.

• Manual files offer more control and are great for quick touch-ups.
• Electric options can be faster and easier, especially for larger areas.
• Both types come in various shapes and materials, so you can choose what fits your routine.

Consider your comfort level and how often you plan to use the tool when deciding which is right for you.

Callus files can be used on sensitive feet, but it’s important to go slow and use gentle pressure.

• Choose a file with a finer grit or softer material if you’re worried about irritation.
• Always follow the instructions and stop if you feel discomfort.
• If you have any medical conditions or concerns, it’s best to check with a healthcare professional before using a callus file.

Taking these steps can help you care for your feet safely and comfortably.
