Choosing the right size boot tree can help maintain your boots' shape and prevent creasing. Check the sizing guide provided on the product page, as most boot trees are labeled by shoe size ranges. If you're between sizes, it's usually better to go with the smaller option to avoid overstretching your boots. For tall boots, look for boot trees or shapers designed specifically for longer shafts. If you have questions about fit, you can always reach out to Walmart's customer service for more details.

Boot trees are mainly designed for boots, but some can be used in other footwear like loafers or sneakers, depending on their shape and adjustability.

• Check the product description to see if the boot tree is adjustable or labeled for multiple shoe types.
• For tall boots, use boot shapers that support the shaft, while shorter shoe trees work best for low-cut shoes.

Keeping your boot trees clean helps them last longer and work better.

• For wooden boot trees, wipe them with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust. Avoid soaking them in water.
• Plastic boot trees can be cleaned with mild soap and water, then dried thoroughly before use.
• If your boot trees are aromatic cedar, a light sanding can refresh their scent over time.

Some boot trees, especially those made from aromatic cedar, can help absorb moisture and reduce odors inside your boots.

• Cedar naturally absorbs dampness and leaves a fresh scent.
• Plastic boot trees may help with shape but typically don't offer odor control.

To keep tall boots from sagging or creasing, use boot shapers or boot trees designed for long boots.

• Insert the shaper or tree into the boot shaft to provide support.
• Store boots upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
• Reusable boot stand holders or form inserts can also help boots keep their shape between wears.
